My first day

My first day of this course was literally a "breath of fresh air"!  I am a fond supporter of the concept of providing quality courses via distance education.  This concept is important to me primarily because of the impact this mode of delivery affects my being able to return to school and work towards an EdD. Without distant education, this opportunity would be nonexistent.  I want to "pay it forward" by providing quality education via distance education myself.  UA is providing me the skills necessary to mature, tweak, enhance, and incorporate new technologies to what I currently know.  I'm utilizing wiki, and am adding the blogger to my clinical group this semester.  I'm anticipating good outcomes, but won't know until "the fat lady sings" :)

My own experiences relevant to this course pertain to online instruction.  I absolutely love it, though I can't exactly say why.  Providing online instruction, for me, is a great deal more tedious, time consuming, and detailed.  I love it though!  I've taught hybrid courses, traditional courses that are supplemented with online access to course documents, courses via IITS with online supplementation, and online courses where the student comes to the campus testing center only.  My concerns have been issues of time.  Having ample time to brainstorm, incorporate new methods of delivery into the online environment and create exams continues to demand time that I struggle to find and prioritize.  This course will better prepare me through examples and demonstrations that will, in the end, SAVE me allot of time.  That makes me SMILE! :)

The most ultimate surprise so far, is that we will meet again on the last day of the semester! YYIIPPPPEEEE!!!! You rock!!!! This course is laid out clearly, effectively, and is easy to navigate and follow.  I don't have questions about how I will be graded because there are clear, distinct, directions with due dates and contact information, should I encounter problems.  This is a course that I already absolutely LOVE!!!!!!
